Paige Purcell Dixon High School Class of 2025
Elle Blanton Performing Arts Scholarship Inaugural Recipient
A passionate performer, compassionate leader, and devoted mentor, Paige Purcell is the recipient of the Inaugural Elle Blanton Performing Arts Scholarship. From her earliest memories as a young girl watching dancers in the studio, Paige knew that performing was not just a dream—it was her purpose. What began as a childhood fascination grew into a lifelong calling. Dance has been Paige’s constant—her creative outlet, emotional refuge, and source of strength.
As Captain of her Varsity Dance Team and a member of Captains Council, Paige has led both on and off the stage. Her leadership extends beyond the studio as President of Team Dixon Club, AVID, and the School Spirit Club, where she also served as Treasurer. Her dedication to service is evident through her work with special needs students via Team Dixon and her volunteer work at Living Hope Church.
Despite challenges along the way, including a period of self-doubt, Paige recommitted to her passion and emerged stronger, with renewed determination. She now shares that passion with others, teaching multiple classes each week at Dixon Dance Studio and choreographing inclusive performances for students of all abilities. Watching others grow in confidence and expression, particularly through Team Dixon’s inclusive performances, has deepened her belief in the transformative power of the arts.
Paige is also a decorated student and athlete, earning Academic All League honors and excelling in both dance and volleyball. Her academic and artistic achievements are matched by her desire to make performing arts accessible for all.
With the support of the Elle Blanton Performing Arts Scholarship, Paige will be attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo majoring in Business Administration. More than just a dancer, Paige Purcell is a changemaker, committed to using her voice, her movement, and her heart to inspire others and build a more inclusive future through the performing arts.
